thats my question I have an unlocked Palm Pixi and I want to use it in the wifi way alone can I practise this? Thank you a newbie

yes, you tin. If out have to create Palm profile, you have to download activation bypass tool from palm support site. Get to webosnation forums and search for it if you can't notice link via Google.

Easiest way is to borrow a friend's SIM card (or from one of your phones if available) and insert information technology into the device... So yous can set up the Palm Profile and get into the UI.

If you bypass the Palm (HP) profile you would accept no App itemize. Even so, you lot could activate the contour with your T-Mobile SIM and then run without SIM on WiFi and accept full admission to everything except vocalization, SMS, and MMS.

So all i do is pop in the sin and information technology will connect to data and i can fix it up and use the phone sms and data i didnt no if i would of had to add the apn or they would pick it up from the sim

I have a GSM unlocked Pre ii and I had no trouble setting up the Palm Profile with a friend's T-Mobile SIM. Nevertheless, if your Pixi is Branded to a network that may be a problem. You can still endeavor information technology.
I don't think bypassing the Palm Profile is such a skillful thought even if information technology will exist a WiFi simply device because you desire the App Catalog and Preware stuff...
Also to run it off carrier yous may want to turn on Airplane mode which shuts off all radios and then y'all can toggle WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth off and on manually as needed. And then information technology won't suck upwardly battery looking for carrier signal...

Okay well it was a at&t pixi but i accept a unlock code and im gonna be using the telephone sms and data feature
