If you lot merely accept Acura and local body shop then Acura would be a improve bet, body store only does trunk work similar accidents, refinishing, painting, panels, maybe if they do transmission and or motor oil changes they are usually dusty. Merely personal i would non go to a body store for the service your mentioned.

Your car has a computer in it that determines, based upon your driving style, when it is best to change the fluids. Your starts, stops, acceleration, engine temperatures, length of trips etc and and then calculates when it s best to change the fluids that lubricate all the moving parts, along with the filters to trap the debris.
You can have it to a local shop (I am assuming y'all do not mean a trunk store equally they exercise not do maintenance on vehicles) or, yous could take it to an Acura or Honda dealer and have them not but supersede the fluids and filters merely inspect the critical parts on your car. They tin also claw the computer up and see what codes have been stored too as checking your vehicle against any service to tech bulletins and recalls. They volition as well practise a service based on your mileage. Information technology may just exist visual or information technology could include cleaning and lubrication the various parts (brakes, linkages, hinges etc).
While coin is important, the toll of owning a vehicle includes maintenance or, as the former commercial says "you tin pay now or pay a lot later on". 300 is a pittance compared to repairing engine or transmission damage.
All that to say, I would go with Acura service.

Which acura? My rsx has a maintenance light I've been ignoring for 3 months. I forget how to reset it. Something with turning the key and pushing the odometer push button. The light is but telling me to change my oil... which i do on my own schedule cuz I have synthetic.

^ Concur down the Trip Push, put the Key on Position Ii and printing & concord the Trip Button for 10-xx seconds. Had the '02 Premium.
My brother chosen me upward asking if he should book an engagement with Acura. I can do it simply he was worried near the Reminder, which can exist easily reseted.
OP, it'south up to you lot. It's $100 for Manual Fluid, $fifty Oil & Filter and $30 to Rotate Tires.

Yous tin go to an independent garage to do the work (which I suggest y'all actually have done rather than just reset the light).

I would never pay dealer prices for those services. Personally I get my oil changes at Costco. $xxx for oil and filter, and the quality is but as good as the dealer and keeps warranty intact equally long as yous continue documentation. You lot can fifty-fifty DIY oil changes, and keep information technology documented and your warranty will remain intact(despite what those money grubbing stealerships would like for y'all to believe). You tin become just about anywhere and have your tires rotated for $25, or diy in about one-half an hours time. And then that just leaves the transmission fluid. Personally I would do that myself too. Just if you lot are not comfortable, call a few dealerships for their price to change the transmission fluid. Even phone call the Honda dealers..

Too, information technology should be mentioned that that light is just a reminder light. It does not know when you lot tires were terminal rotated or when your oil was terminal changed.
So you may not even need those services washed at this time.
I know in my civic the recommended oil change interval is every 8k. If you are not due for an oil change, don't become one until y'all are.
For tire rotation, well if yous are like the many Canadians out there, you lot probable take simply put your summer/all season tires on recently which hateful they are not in demand of rotation yet.
Transmission fluid may be the but thing out of that reminder light that your automobile is really due for.

the op tin can use an independent garage, equally long as the mechanic is adept with acuras.
needs to know the specs for the machine. type of fluids, how to reset the CEL lawmaking.
if it were me, I'd DIY all of it because I can.
It's a Honda, Honda atf fluid is recommended, you can get away with other brands. Honda atf works best, shifts smoother.
oil change and tire rotation is a something everyone should know how to practice.
if the tires are uni-tread don't practice a cantankerous over, go front to dorsum on same side.

My book says
B:
-Replace engine oil
-cheque and change brakes if necessarily
-Check parking brake cablevision
-cheque tie rods, steering gear box and boots
-check suspension
-check driveshaft
-cheque brake hose and lines
-check all fluids, and acme up if required
-check frazzle system
-check fuel lines and connectors
-check dust/pollen filter (interior)
-cheque air filter (exterior)
1: Rotate Tires
iii: Change transmission fluid.
If you Want to have it to a dealership, become to a HONDA dealership. They tin perform the same service for a BIT cheaper and will not affect your warranty. If you have a trustworthy auto mechanic, just requite him this list and he'll know what to do. He/She will be a lot cheaper than a dealership

You'd probably want to go to a mechanic shop and not a trunk shop, unless you desire your car dorsum painted a different color or something LOL.
If that's all they're doing a local/contained mechanic would probably practise that stuff for less than $200...
